It was no different from packing up a car to go out; everyone needed hats, body protectors instead of car seats, driving gloves, the sunglasses were optional.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/madebytheforge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-991 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/madebytheforge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/2.jpg\" alt=\"Sam ready to go.\" width=\"693\" height=\"624\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.madebytheforge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/2.jpg 770w, https:\/\/www.madebytheforge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/2-300x270.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 693px) 100vw, 693px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Murphy, our horse power for the drive, happily pulled us round the delightful lanes and tracks here in Suffolk. Everything was so green and stunningly beautiful lit up by the sun. It was a reminder that not that long ago this was how people travelled if they wanted to get anywhere faster than their own 2 legs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/madebytheforge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-993 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/madebytheforge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/3.jpg\" alt=\"Murphy\" width=\"693\" height=\"554\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.madebytheforge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/3.jpg 770w, https:\/\/www.madebytheforge.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/3-300x240.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 693px) 100vw, 693px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>My friend Simon Barnes who writes and marvels about our wonderfully, wild countryside \u00a0says that &#8216;the wind between a horses ears is the best in the world&#8217;!
