The Recess Bracket on which the pole is mounted has a tiny hole to pass a thread through to keep the curtain from sliding all the way across the pole when pulled or drawn.

Each Recess Curtain Pole will need two handmade Recess Brackets. We advise that you have 1 curtain ring per 10cm (minimum) of curtain pole. Do ensure you have an equal number of rings for each curtain.
When your order arrives, you’ll find your new Recess Curtain Pole, Recess Brackets and curtain rings you’ve ordered as well as the screws needed to secure the brackets, so you can get your new curtain pole up without delay.
We also offer Recess Poles in 12mm, 20mm and 25mm diameters.
Material: Our wrought iron curtain poles are made to measure from a solid 16mm iron pole.
Dimensions:
Bracket size - 16mm - Rectangle wall plate - Wall Plate measures 6.5cm long x 2.5cm wide.
Depth of cup 2cm
Pole diameter - 16mm
Curtain Ring size: 4mm thick, 35mm outside diameter, 27mm internal diameter. 47mm drop
Curtain Ring amount: 1 per 10cm of pole recommended - e.g. 120cm = 12 rings
Finish: Choose from a Matt Black Paint finish or a Natural Beeswax finish. Both finishes are traditional and will enhance the beauty of the wrought iron pole.

Quality hand made black curtain recess pole (for the front door). Ordered online, kept upto date along the way, I was informed it might take a little longer being hand made and during the pandemic. I'm in no rush for something quality. It arrived on time, packaged very well, had 2 brackets, screws and instructions. Measured to perfection. This was easy to put up & I'm delighted with this. It's also great to know it's hand made right here in the UK. Love it!

Delighted by our pole thank you. What the photograph doesn't show is the fact that the wall is very wonky - no problem with custom made brackets though - allows the curtains to fall perfectly.
