I have 25 years’ experience as a trained farrier and blacksmith. I direct and control the business operations on a daily basis and I’m responsible for the company’s mission and long-term goals.
I love metal. I am passionate about keeping blacksmithing skills alive and allowing members of our team to express themselves through their work.
Outside the Forge… I’m partial to a cycle ride, one that always manages to pass a welcoming pub! I look after and feed the garden birds, plant wild flowers, and trees. On occasion, I have been known to quote Withnail and I.
As Richard’s partner, my task is to brainstorm ways to improve the business and to innovate to attract more custom. I’m responsible for the company’s marketing communications.
Outside the Forge… I’m passionate about my family, friends, horses and nature. I’m always looking for ways to make a positive difference to our lifestyle, which will benefit the environment. I have a bad habit of procrastinating but will sort that out next week sometime.
My job is to make sure the workshop runs smoothly and that customers’ orders are made and ready when the finishing team needs them. I have always been fascinated with blacksmithing. When I got the opportunity to do it for a living, I jumped at the chance.
Outside the Forge… I am a family man. I love spending time at home. I also have a fascination with the strategy game “Warhammer”. Each week I play “Dungeons and Dragons” with some close friends. I am quite fond of mint humbugs and cannot do without coffee.
I create and make bespoke pieces for customers. I’m motivated by the drive to create new products while keeping with tradition and adding a modern twist.
Outside the Forge... I am very passionate about metal work. In my own time I love to draw up new ideas and products. Music helps with inspiration and creativity. I also love to DJ at big and small events in and around the UK. Feel that bass!
I make sure everything is wrapped properly to protect the precious pieces that travel through the courier system. The team does such good work so it’s hugely important the care continues outside the forge.
Outside the Forge... I am committed to rehoming rescue spaniels in East Anglia on behalf of English Springer Spaniel Welfare. I also have my own Springer that I am trying to train! If there are biscuits about, I may give in to temptation…
My job at the Forge is to make the curtain pole brackets and help whenever I am needed. I love welding because it is so satisfying to watch two pieces of metal become one in the process of melting the solid into liquid. I'm inspired by successful people who have made their fortunes by working harder than most. I feel they deserve what they have earned.
Outside the Forge... I love reading, gaming and playing the piano. I particularly like music that moves you, music that makes you melt.
At the Forge, I'm here to assist with production in all shapes and sizes. I love the down to earth environment that fosters hard work and it's great being with good, hard working people. My dad taught me to see the value and satisfaction of taking action. He started making lamps in his flat that became so popular they were sold in a shop in Framlingham.
Outside the Forge... at home, on the weekends I cook. I love pasta and am a master of Spag Bol and could give Gordon Ramsey a run for his money.
Having been in the film and television industry for 38 years, I bring a wealth of experience to bear to make Made by the Forge’s videos as informative and entertaining as they can be. Together with Juliet, I also provide support for all aspects of the website.
Outside the Forge… Still filmmaking with world-class filmmakers and I’m a voracious reader. I’m also wary of most vegetables.
I look after all things website related and have been working with Made by the Forge for many years as the company and team has grown.
I have over 20 years experience in marketing and specialise in online marketing - but I'm still a techie at heart.
Outside the Forge... When not in front of a computer I work to keep two dogs and four horses in the style to which they have become accustomed.
My job is to ensure all pieces of discarded paperwork are picked out of the wastepaper basket and securely shredded.
I am a naturally up-beat sort of girl and in my spare time I like running, being sprawled out by the fire and when no one’s looking, shopping online for dog treats.
