Our Café Rod Brackets are small and discreet which fit neatly each side of the window opening - attaching to the frame, or alternatively inside the window recess. 1 - Measuring for your Café Rod

1. Recess Cafe Rod - measure the FULL width of the recess in centimetres where the Café Rod will be fitted.

2. Fixing on the outer frame face - Choose either with or without finials - then measure full length of rod required (excluding any finials) where the Café Rod will be fitted. Adding finials will add 0.5cm in overall length to each end of the rod

Made by the Forge’s Café Curtain Rods are the ideal solution to cover the bottom half of any window to gain that extra level of privacy but still allowing maximum light. If you would like to add a decorative finial to the end of the rod we offer a simple but stylish Café Button Finial.

The interior designers who use these café rods frequently use pocket sewn, sheer fabrics or unlined light cotton or linen. Usually the curtain is short, lightweight and not lined but really the choice is yours.

When your order arrives, you’ll find your new curtain rod, mounting brackets and curtain rings you’ve ordered as well as the screws needed to secure the brackets, so you can get your new curtain rod up without delay.

Our Café Curtain Rods are available in either a Matt Black Paint or a Natural Beeswax finish and your brackets and curtain rings will match the finish of your rod.

Material: Our wrought iron Café Curtain Rods are made to measure from a solid 12mm iron pole.

Finish: Choose from a Matt Black Paint finish or a Natural Beeswax finish. Both finishes are traditional and will enhance the beauty of the wrought iron rod.

Dimensions: The bracket sizes are specially designed to fit window frames.

Measuring for a Café Curtain Rod is a simple job and requires just two quick steps:

Firstly, where is the rod going to go? Stand back, look at the window, and check that there are no obstructions or fittings in the way of a straight mount across the window. If you have sash windows double check that these can open and close with the Café Curtain Rod mounted.
Measure the width of your window. For Recess Bracket fitting please measure the FULL width of the recess in centimetres where the Café Rod will be fitted as accurately as possible. Or, if using Closed Loop Bracket, please supply full length of rod required. Remember to measure in centimetres.
