People often ask us what that word “artisan” really means, so I thought I would tell you, from the inside of a working forge. Here iron glows in a raging hot forge and is shape by hand using a hammer on an anvil.
Walk into our forge in Suffolk and you'll hear it before you see it. The ring of hammer on iron, the hiss of metal meeting water, the rhythmic focus of skilled hands at work. A sound that has echoed through British workshops for centuries. And it is a sound we are determined to preserve.
