Our rails are forged from a solid 16mm wrought iron pole that easily holds up even the heaviest coats, jumpers and dresses without sagging in the middle. Without the worry of sagging, bending or breaking, you can make the most of your wardrobe space and keep everything in one place rather than working around the strength of your existing rail.
Our Wardrobe Rails also make great additions to cupboards, closets, alcoves, and anywhere else where a sturdy, reliable rail helps increase your storage space. With multiple mounting options, they can be suspended with our Closed Loop Brackets or attached to either side of your wardrobe with Recess Brackets. More »

When you put things away, do you throw them into the cupboard where chaos reigns and hope one swift move will keep the door shut? When you open the wardrobe door, do you have to put long coats and dresses to the far left and right because the rail sags alarmingly in the centre? We may have those little problems covered.
In the spirit of the ethos of ‘buying once’, we knew there were other ways our lifetime guaranteed rails could be utilised in your home. Our 16mm range of solid iron poles can be cut to any length and, with suitable brackets, be easily installed in your wardrobe. No more sagging. And depending on the size of the cupboard or cabinet, a rail can be fitted to turn a cluttered floor into an ‘everything at hand’ optimised area.
If you need extra hanging space, you don’t even have to have a wardrobe. We can supply the rail and brackets that you can install in the corner of a bedroom or an alcove in the wall. In fact, if you put your mind to it, there are all sorts of benefits an extra rail around the house will bring.
When your order arrives, you’ll find your new Wardrobe Rail and mounting brackets as well as the screws needed to secure the brackets, so you can get your new Wardrobe Rail up without delay.
Material: Our 16mm rails are handmade from a solid 16mm pole at 38p per cm (£36 per metre). They are incredibly strong, will last a lifetime and are finished in Matt Black Paint.

Our wardrobe rails can be fitted either wall to wall using recess brackets or free hanging from closed loop brackets. Either can have additional centre bracket(s).

I was looking for a black metal pole for our utility room, don't love the cheap plastic coated black ones, and looking at the department store ones that are barely any better, but SO expensive, thought, these must be getting close to the cost of a hand-forged rail. Googled. Found Made by the Forge, and the "express" (not made to measure) poles that I think are exceptional value. So happy with it. We just stood around holding the finials for a while because they're so tactile (and we're a bit strange).
I am very pleased with my products from Made by the Forge. The quality is fantastic I am thinking of ordering curtain pole later on in the year.
