Quality hand made black curtain recess pole (for the front door). Ordered online, kept upto date along the way, I was informed it might take a little longer being hand made and during the pandemic. I'm in no rush for something quality. It arrived on time, packaged very well, had 2 brackets, screws and instructions. Measured to perfection. This was easy to put up & I'm delighted with this. It's also great to know it's hand made right here in the UK. Love it!

We are so impressed with the quality of workmanship that has gone into our curtain fittings. The metal feels so heavy and strong and the finials are characterised by real craftsmanship. I have loved dealing with this firm. We had to wait for our order because the team are so busy, but this was clearly disclosed from the outset and the wait added to our sense of anticipation and enjoyment. I am very pleased with the items and the service from The Forge. I ordered three curtain poles, one fo which needed bespoke brackets making. The measuring was simple and the poles and bespoke brackets were correct and fitted perfectly. The items are good quaiity and well made, and I would purchase from The Forge again.

Hello to all at Made by the Forge
After much to-ing and fro-ing, I was able to get up to Birmingham this weekend to help my sister put up her 7-bend bay window pole - it was definitely a three person job! The quality of the pole and fittings is excellent and she is beyond delighted with it. Please find attached some photos - I’m afraid they are not of great quality but they show what an excellent fit you have made. Also, having the side return with the beautiful cage finial really “makes” the whole installation into something special. Thanks to you all for your patience and diligence in dealing with our measuring issues!

Some months ago, you made a really strong tieback for a big heavy curtain and some lovely shelf brackets with oak boards.
I am thrilled with them. My porch doubles as part of my workshop where I solder silver jewellery.

A little late, but better late than never.
A huge thank you for getting the poles ready and sent out here in january when you were so busy. They have now been installed and the clients are very happy with them as far as I know. I wasn't able to do the installation due to a back issue so I haven't seen them in place yet. Very disappointed, but I will go and look in the summer.

We only used one bracket in the middle as you can see, others didn't really line up evenly with wobbly walls etc etc but customer was delighted and so was I. Are you full for Christmas? Hi Richard, completed the fit out here with some interesting sign language directions to the Spanish builders ha ha. Everything arrived in perfect condition, the only things missing were one joining rod (i improvised with some drill bits and masking tape :-) ) and a single grub screw. But probably the grub screw fell out and was chucked with the bubble wrap. I am SOOO impressed with your work, it has been a dream to fit these beautiful poles. Here's a pic of the big bay pole, it went up an absolute treat. I now know the spanish for spirit level, drill bit and plenty more lol.

I didn’t get round to fitting the rail till after the holidays, once we had taken down the Xmas tree from the bay window. Now I’ve got round to doing it it seems to fit spot on !!
